What Is Crypto Buying?
Every Pair Market names the financial exposure its community chose. Aggregated, those choices form a dataset nobody has had before: where crypto-native demand flows across the financial primitives of the world.
A new dataset
A Pump coin on its own says nothing about the world outside crypto. A Pair MarketPair MarketThe canonical pairing of an internet asset with a financial Pair: TOKEN × PAIR INSTRUMENT, plus the Pair Vault, configuration and accounting that connect them. does. Each one is a token paired with exactly one Pair InstrumentPair InstrumentThe financial exposure a Pair Market is paired with, such as Tokyo Residential or Swiss Government Debt. A catalog object with a provider, an eligibility policy and a status., and every instrument in the catalog carries a category, an asset type, a country and a region. When a creator launches $TOKYO × Tokyo Residential, that launch is a recorded preference for Japanese residential property over every other instrument in the catalog.
Multiply that by every launch, every trade and every settlement and the Pair Registry becomes a measurement instrument in its own right. It answers a question that surveys and fund-flow reports answer only indirectly: when internet capital chooses a financial exposure, which one does it choose?
Selection is the signal. Settlement is the proof.
Two layers make up the dataset. Selection data (which instruments creators pair with, and how much the paired coins trade) exists from the first launch. Settlement data (how much Pair Asset each market acquired, what it is worth, and what holders received) accrues as each instrument’s settlement route activates. Requests for instruments not yet listed add a third, forward-looking layer, covered in Pair Requests.
The dimensions
Each view is a grouping of Pair Market records joined to their Pair Instrument. The fields are the ones the Pair Registry stores today.

By Pair
The headline view ranks Pair Instruments by the Pair Asset their markets have acquired. It reads like a flow table: not what crypto holds, but what crypto is buying, through which instrument, in what size.
Figure summary: Illustrative ranking: U.S. Housing 21.4 million dollars, Tokyo Residential 13.7 million, Swiss Government Debt 8.8 million, NYC Municipal Debt 6.2 million, Gold 5.9 million.
The same rows, in full. Pair Value and rewards sit beside acquisition because the three answer different questions: what was bought, what is held, what reached holders.

By asset class
Grouping the same rows by category turns individual choices into an allocation. In this example housing leads on a single instrument, while bonds reach second place across two: one sovereign, one municipal.
Figure summary: Illustrative grouping of the same five instruments: Housing 21.4 million, Bonds 15 million, Real estate 13.7 million, Commodities 5.9 million.
By country
| Country | Pair Instruments | Pair Markets | Acquired | Share |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| United States | U.S. Housing, NYC Municipal Debt | 50 | $27.6M | 49.3% |
| Japan | Tokyo Residential | 24 | $13.7M | 24.5% |
| Switzerland | Swiss Government Debt | 17 | $8.8M | 15.7% |
| Global | Gold | 15 | $5.9M | 10.5% |
The country view is where the dataset becomes geographic. Two U.S. instruments, one national and one municipal, put the United States first. Japan follows on a single residential instrument. A global commodity carries no country and is reported as such rather than assigned to an issuer’s domicile.
pairstreet.xyz/analyticsThe live view
The application publishes this dataset at pairstreet.xyz/analytics Live. It aggregates real Pair Markets as they launch, reading live ledger rows only.
- ·Protocol totals: total volume, total Pair Value, Pair Assets acquired, holder rewards paid, Pair Markets, active Pair Instruments, creators and holders.
- ·“What is crypto buying?”: exposure ranked by Pair Asset acquired, in three columns: by instrument, by country, by category.
- ·Top Pair Markets, most rewards paid, and a protocol activity feed of vault funding, acquisitions, settlements and holder rewards.
Selection and trading columns fill from the first launch. Settlement columns fill as each Pair Instrument’s provider route and Pair Vault custody activate; the Status page tracks which routes are active.
Reading the data
A Pair Market is paired with its instrument; it is not backed by it. A large Pair Value means a market’s Pair Vault holds a large quantity of Pair Asset for allocation to holders. Read Pair Value for the accounting and Pair Instruments for the difference between an instrument, its Pair Asset and its reference market.
